What we do
Building community through our schools
The Rhinebeck Parent Teacher Student Organization’s mission is to put schools at the center, where the heart of the community belongs. We’re a group of parents, teachers and students who believe in the power of quality, inclusive and vibrant education, and understand it takes a village - in Rhinebeck’s case, it also takes a town!
We mobilize humans, talents and resources to invest in classrooms, equipment, tools, growth and development, extracurricular activities and events. We lift up the school community by addressing needs, filling gaps, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating ways to celebrate our amazing families, students and teachers and have some fun.
We always have a seat at our table for you, whenever, or however, you decide to join us.
How to GET INVOLVED
Sign up to volunteer
Throughout the year, there are hands-on ways you can roll up your sleeves and help out. Each school has their own activities, like the first ever middle school play sponsored by the PTSO last year, the annual CLS Book Fair or the high school Homecoming Bonfire & Dance brought back by the PTSO in 2022. Feel free to reach out to school-specific VPs anytime, and watch for them to reach out to you at times to ask for your help.
We also sponsor district-wide events, like the Halloween Fall Fest (October 27, 2024) and Spring Fling Family Dance. If you are interested in receiving emails with volunteer opportunities, please email us with the subject: Sign me up! Parent Volunteer
Spread the word (and the work)
Help us get the word out. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook and share our posts. Let us know if you’d like to receive our weekly district events & information email. Parents told us finding info was a challenge, so we filled the gap. Think “The Skimm” but for Rhinebeck CSD. To sign up, just email us. Use the Subject: Weekly Email
Donate
Time is money, as they say, and throughout life we have more of one than the other to give, and sometimes we can’t give either. No pressure. But if donating is your preferred way to get involved, you can easily donate via Venmo @RCSD-PTSO-2021 or drop off a check in any school office made out to: Rhinebeck PTSO.
